
Layla Abdel-Rahim brings her very unique perspective and critique to the Occupy movement. Born in Russia, she was then raised in Sudan where she describes her upbringing as being a "magical fairy tale...where different languages, different cultures and different outlooks met at this confluence." She now lives with her family in Canada where she teaches at the University of Quebec.
