There will be several important meetings tomorrow to discuss plans for a possible self-eviction of Occupy Philly. Several ideas were proposed at tonight's non-violence vigil about how to deal with a potential eviction from Dilworth Plaza by the city. One idea was to self-evict OP by moving across the street with the help of several labor unions who support OP and were willing to help with relocation efforts.
Last night was the final night of five days of dialogue and debate, in which the General Assembly decided on our strategic approach towards the “presumed date” of November the fifteenth. We will be staying, without expansion towards Thomas Paine Plaza. There will be no more talk of this topic in General Assemblies until the city gives us an exact date of the start of the renovation project. This final decision has naturally brought more tense debate to the table, but regrettably much of it seems to be based off of a lack of information or even misinformation.
