On February 20th the Occupy movement as a whole held a national day of action for the reduction of prison populations and improvement in prison conditions in the United States. Occupy Philly, members of The PA prison society, Decarecrate PA, and community activist from all over Philadelphia gathered at 1717 Arch St. to protest Hill International ltd. who is heading the construction project to expand Graterford state prison.
Before OWS’s Occupy the Courts Rally, they had a discussion with Lawerence Lessig and Chris Hedges, who I believe represent the two distinct forces coming out of the Occupy Winter and the debate of Revolution vs. Reform.
